     More than 50 years ago, William O. (Bill) Gillespie, formed Southern, a company that has always been in the home construction and home improvement business, with energy efficiency at the forefront. Southern Vinyl Window Manufacturing Inc. was initiated by Maria Gillespie and Francine Gillespie Powers in 1995,
 to build the highest quality and energy efficient window in the market.

Locally family owned and operated, Southern is located in the foothills of northwestern South Carolina and prides itself on building the most energy-efficient  windows available in today's market. Southern has built its business on manufacturing the very best window you can buy for your money. Customer satisfaction is our number one priority.

Community Connections

Southern is a member in good standing with the South Carolina and Liberty Chambers of Commerce and the Better Business Bureau. Southern is very proud to have been chosen 1999 South Carolina Manufacturer of the Year (under 200 employees) by the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce.

Southern is a civic-minded company very involved in its community by way of supporting the local police department and the community building. Owners are active in the Freemasons, Shrine, and Eastern Star. A number of employees are involved in community activities from coaching Little League sports to volunteer firemen.
